Phil Simmons reappointed West Indies head coach

Phil Simmons has been reappointed three years later he was sacked in the position.
The 56-year-old former opening batsman formerly held the role in 2015-16, with the Windies winning the ICC World T20 under Simmons until he was released because ofdifferences in culture and strategic approach.
Cricket West Indies (CWI) had drawn up a shortlist of applicants including Simmons, former batsman Desmond Haynes and Floyd Reifer, that oversaw West Indies disappointing World Cup campaign in England as interim coach.
Simmons, who recently coached Afghanistan and led Ireland from 2007 before 2015, will return to the function.
