New Orleans Saints @ Los Angeles Rams: ‘Bad blood’ in new NFC rivalry

Among the newest rivalries of the NFL Will Be in the spotlight on Sunday when the Los Angeles Rams host the New Orleans Saints live on Sky Sports Action and Main Event.

This is exactly what to expect…
With this week’s Inside The Huddle podcast, NFL Network reporter Steve Wyche shared that Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan said to him:”All smoke we have for our competitions Atlanta – that is about the Rams.”
Among the new rivalries of the NFL stems out of two exhilarating experiences last year – and all the discussion around them. Following New Orleans came on top of a 45-35 Saints head coach Sean Payton singled out.
Those comments didn’t sit well with Peters, who stated after the game:”Inform Sean Payton keep talking that s***, we are likely to see him soon. You feel me?
“I liked what he had been saying on the sidelines also. So I’ll tell [him]’Keep speaking that s*** and I hope you visit me shortly. You feel me?’
“And we’re going to have a nice little bowl of gumbo together.”
Regardless of both playing it down in the build-up into an NFC rematch in New Orleans, the Rams winning in contentious fashion – a blown no-call on a pass interference preventing the Saints from obtaining a late down that could have won them the match – Wyche has stated that the”bad blood” is most definitely still there.
Will Blackmon pointed out :”The [Saints] took the conquer way too personal, however. Even the state resisted!” Indeed, there was a suit filed against the NFL on the no-call, but has been dismissed before the entire year.
Last Monday night, the Saints (1-0) opened their season with a 30-28 thriller – and ancient game of the year candidate – as they toppled the Texans having a last-second Wil Lutz field goal.
Drew Brees orchestrated a 35-yard drive that was surgical with 37 seconds left to receive his team.
Los Angeles (1-0) travelled to Carolina and hauled off the Panthers 30-27. Todd Gurley had a great fourth quarter and managed 101 yards.
Jared Goff didn’t have his finest day (23/39, 186 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 choice ) but he pitched a fourth-quarter score and the defense stepped up when it mattered most.
It’s a joy to watch these thoughts coach-quarterback duos in actions, also on ITH, Blackmon and Vince Young voiced their thoughts about the 2 situations.
Young stated:”I visit Drew Brees winning MVP this year. I still find the old guy out there slinging that ball leading his group out to battle each year and around, still in terrific shape, communication well.
“You notice that at a great deal of quarterbacks but there’s something quite unique about Brees to me and I have a great deal of respect for him.
“I am just happy to see he is still moving as him Sean Payton’s chemistry is doing well – getting touchdowns and receiving the men a great deal of wins.”
Meanwhile, Blackmon recognized that the Rams’ attack, saying:”I think Jared Goff and Sean McVay’s relationship is phenomenal. It’s possible to see the instant growth from when the job was taken by McVay there. Immediately, the group became.
“I had the joy of playing in Washington when McVay had been the offensive coordinator and he had exactly the exact identical relationship with Kirk Cousins.
“We were watching McVay about the play-call – and he’s about the headset speaking to Kirk all of the way down before the final second with what is going on and what to perform.
“Eventually it took a while for Kirk to accept ownership – since the 1 criticism for him was: once the play broke down, what to do today?
“Kirk finally started making that adjustment on his own, and the same thing with Goff finally starting doing that on his own also.”
We could expect you to be a shootout which player from defense can step up and be a difference-maker? Rams linebacker Cory Littleton’needed a daytime’ last weekend, racking up 14 tackles, two passes defended, a fumble, along with also a fourth-quarter interception. Can he do it against New Orleans?
Also, in the NFC Championship game, Gurley had four rushing attempts for 10 yards. His capacity to tear through defenses – and maintain Brees off the area could be crucial. On the opposing side, Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas can’t be permitted to run riot.
