Jadon Sancho has teamed up to help establish a new soccer pitch in London in the hope of others.
Sancho, who raised Kennington and was born in Camberwell, played a part to help boost facilities in south London, with the intention of giving kids a opportunity.
Growing up in Kennington has made me the man I am now; I spend a great deal to South London for bettering how I play, Sancho said. I trust that the local children feel empowered to share their own stories through soccer and follow in my footsteps – that pitch being only the ignition point.
As the home of the Lambeth Tigers, a soccer club for young people aged six to 18, the pitch will offer the regional footballers of SE11 access to the very best facilities possible.
David Marriott and Jamahl Jarrett both grew up on a nearby estate along with the two coaches helped with the founding of this team and described the pitch asrefuge for youngsters.
There is a real demand for secure places for these children to play , said Jarrett. A pitch such as this is like a sanctuary for children, inviting them to enter soccer in a safe environment. The trendy, bright design is also like a magnet – its a place where folks may wish to get out and play.
The Tigers will utilize the pitch to help enable football programming and provide opportunities through training, workshops and training.
