World welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr is expected to make a complete recovery following an automobile crash on Thursday which left him in intensive care.
After his Ferrari was involved in a rollover crash at Dallas, Texas, the WBC and IBF champion was taken into intensive care.
A statement by Dallas Police Department stated Spence was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car as itflipped multiple times in the wee hours of Thursday morning.
But, Spences representatives Premier Boxing have published a statement which says the boxer isexpected to make a complete recovery and is resting with his loved ones by his side.
Spence is alert & responding and his condition remains stable. He did not sustain any broken bones-but has some facial lacerations, the statement persists.
The Spences want to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes and so are incredibly grateful to the Dallas initial responders who hurried to the scene and the physicians who are taking care of him.
Undefeated Spence Jr fought beating Shawn Porter via split decision to bring the WBC title to his IBF belt.
When he overcome Kell Brook Sheffield Uniteds Bramall Lane to eventually become a world champion Hes held the IBF title.
