Gerry O’Connor, joint-manager of the Clare hurlers, has resigned.
Three years after he took the reins up along with Donal Moloney, O’Connor has resigned. Prior to obtaining the senior occupation ahead of the 2017 season after the departure of Davy Fitzgerald, the duo had enjoyed an enormously prosperous period in charge of the county’s underage teams.
It remains unclear as to whether Moloney will remain at the helm.
In 2018, the Banner County was guided by the duo into the All-Ireland semi-final during their stint, where they narrowly missing out to reigning champions Galway by a point after a replay.
That the 2019 campaign was successful, despite picking up just two wins, as Clare failed to make it during the Munster around robin.
