(CNN) — American adolescent Amanda Anisimova has withdrawn from the US Open following the unexpected death of her father and trainer Konstantin Anisimov.
One of the tennis players in the world — she became the youngest woman to attain the French Open semifinals this season — that the Anisimova was expected to take part in her house grand slam later this season.
“We are shocked and stunned by the sudden death of our father,” read an announcement from the Anisimova family. “We appreciate the outpouring of support and love during this challenging time and ask that you respect our privacy. Thank you”
Tennis world responds
Anisimov had transferred into the US together with eldest daughter Maria and his wife Olga out of Moscow in 1998. Amanda was born in New Jersey three years less than fourteen days prior to the September 11 terror strikes.

Showing signs of brilliance in 2018, Anisimova jumped this year before enjoying her conduct at Roland Garros, by reaching the last 16 in the Australian Open. She’s the world No. 24 in the WTA rankings.
The tennis world immediately expressed its sympathy for its Anisimova household, together with Nick Kyrgios and Maria Sharapova tweeting messages of service.

Furthermore, her fellow American adolescent Cori”Coco” Gauff tweeted”deepest condolences to the Anisimova family during this tragic moment.”
The US Open starts on August 26.
